Great food & service! Best meat, cheese, & pickles board we've ever had! We often buy an extra order to take home. Very casual owner-receptionist-server is good & pleasant. His wife yells at him from the kitchen, which he appears to endure patiently. The yelling is the only knockdown for a star .... Atmosphere is kitchy.

My hubby loves the young lamb so much and this is the best lamb he tried ever in the USA! The beef stew is also so delicious and it's very soft and tasty! Good restaurant and worth try!

Live orchids at every table. Must be a master gardener to have so many healthy and blooming orchids. We decided to order the lamb for roasted lamb for two. The menu didn't specify what sides came with the lamb. The waiter assured us that we'd get plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits that were available this time of year. He was true to his word. Started with an appetizer of fresh bread, sauces, various snack vegetables and small slices of beef prosciutto and sausage. When the lamb arrived, we were delighted with 6 loin chops along with a melody of fruit and salad. What I gathered was that the lady chef is the boss and makes up the plate based on how she wants and what is fresh.

In an area chock full of fantastic eateries, Drina Daisy stands out as one of the most unique and flavorful places we love to go. So far, everything we've tried there has been wonderful... and, much like genuine home cooking, it can vary from visit to visit depending on European sourced ingredients that change up the subtle flavor combinations. Our go-to is the Sarma which is always great on a menu filled with regional variety straight from the home country recipes. Though the wait sometimes requires a bit of patience this really is a mom and pop business. Like the scars in fine leather it's proof of originality. It's nice to step outside the fast-food mentality taking time to actually savor the tastes starting with the bread, avjar, sausage and pickled vegetable variety appetizers! Last night we celebrated my birthday there. It was a treat. Their visiting son let me try some of his imported homemade plum liquor from Bosnia. It was truly stellar though, sorry, not a menu item. The fact that we were made to feel part of the family made it all the more special. Fordinka and Ken really make it like a visit to a Sarajevo home. Part of the joy of going is being treated like family by the folks there with a wry sense of humor and always gracious. Though we were sorry there was no Cockta on hand... not surprising considering the cost and difficulty of getting items from over the pond... there was still a good variety of eastern European beers to enjoy. The dishes were lovingly hand crafted and steaming hot when served. From Burek to Sirnica, Bosanski Gulas to rotisserie roasted lamb the menu items we've tried are authentic, homestyle comfort food taste revelations of a cuisine we'd never had before living here. Even though I chef for the family, even if I knew Bosnian cooking to a tee, I'd choose to visit Drina Daisy because it really is a friendly adventure each time. We'll certainly be back again and again! Highly recommended.
